jacket and too professional slacks she could have easily of passed as one of the teachers even though she was only a sophomore. Her eyebrows arched delicately in the watery mourning light. She had stayed up too late last night writing and working on her website, The Critic.

There were many things she hated about school but first and foremost she hated getting up early. She was by no stretch of the imagination a morning person and all of her observations today seemed to be dull and slow. She creased her brow and fished a notebook out of her black vinyl purse, and began scribbling in it.

There was a girl sitting a few feet away who was picking her nose, and with a laugh Isadora realized it was one of the more revered “Pops”. Silly little thing didn’t she realize that people actually did pay attention to her. Probably being ignored by the queen had gotten the anonymous pop to thinking that nobody cared. The truth was the people that the poor pop wanted to care probably never would care. This miserable fact only brought a twisted mirth on for Isadora as she took out her camera and snapped a shot of the poor girl. In the crowd the light click of the digital camera was mercifully hidden.

She got up and walked to the doors for school, not even realizing when she bumped into someone.
